At Sea- A Poem From 5th Grade

Okay, this is a poem I wrote when I was in 5th grade, so almost 4 years ago. My teacher said I should get it published, but I didn't think it was good enought, but here it is!

Hard storms at sea,
Thrashing through the night.
Harsh winds blowing,
A wild ride.
I dare you to join me,
You won't last long.
Before you're lost in the ocean,
The deep deep blue one.
I dare you to wake up,
Its all a dream.
Until you realize,
You're already out at sea.

Wow, that's really good. You should get it published. Good job!

So I've been told! I write poems better than I do stories.

And that's where we differ. I can't write poems worth a crap but I'm good at writing stories lol.

That's excellent!
I was told I was pretty good at writing poems, but in order for them to turn out good I have to be in the mood, have something to write a poem about.
